What do I wear?
This event is black tie optimal. For men, this would be a tuxedo or a suit and tie. For the women, a ball gown or cocktail dress is acceptable.
Where is The Anthem located?
The Anthem is located at 901 Wharf Street SW, Washington, DC 20024, in the District Wharf. It is behind the 900 block of Maine Avenue SW, on the waterfront.
Where do I park?
We will have valet parking on-site available for a fee. Additionally, there are several other garages around the area of The Anthem in the Wharf, including 3-4 garages within two blocks of the venue.
Are there any non-car alternatives to get to the Kidney Ball?
We always recommend ride-sharing services, such as Uber or Lyft.
What time should I arrive?
Registration for the Kidney Ball will begin at 6:30 PM in the lobby area of The Anthem.
I lost/am unable to find my reservation. What do I do?
Don’t worry! There are no physical tickets for this event. We will be managing all attendee reservations via a registration list. Please e-mail giles.mosher@kidney.org or michele.anthony@kidney.org and we would be more than happy to assist.
What is the event’s COVID-19 Policy?
The National Kidney Foundation takes all precautions regarding COVID-19 and its variants extremely seriously. We will be adhering to the Washington DC health guidance.
What time does the silent auction end? Where do I check out?
The silent auction will conclude at 10:00 PM. Check out for winning bidders will begin shortly thereafter in the same area as registration.
When are the Reagan Years anticipated to go on?
We are anticipating the Reagan Years’ show to begin around 10:00 PM, shortly after the conclusion of our Kidney Ball program. If you know someone who would like to attend the Reagan Years’ show, he/she/they can do so by going to https://www.ticketmaster.com/event/15005E5CF31D5862
Will there be a bar?
Yes. We will have beer, wine and spirit options complimentary for all Kidney Ball attendees.
Will this event be handicap accessible?

MOBILITY ACCESSIBLE SEATING
(Individuals requiring special assistance with mobility)
- People requiring mobility accessible seating should call The Anthem at 202-888-0020.
- People with mobility disabilities who require accessible seating because of their disability includes people who use wheelchairs, those who use other mobility devices, and people who cannot climb steps or walk long distances because of significant arthritis or severe respiratory, circulatory, or cardiac conditions.
HEARING ACCESSIBILITY
(Hard of hearing/deaf individuals requiring special assistance)
- Hearing Assisted individuals: Hearing assistive devices are available for use and can be obtained at 1st level coat check (with checked ID) and returned after each performance. There is no charge for this service and devices are available on a first come first serve basis.
- Deaf/Hard of Hearing individuals: ASL interpretation is available by request only. Please email ada@theanthemdc.com to request interpretation, which is subject to interpreter availability, at least two weeks before an event.
Aw jeez! I left my coat/credit card/highly-confidential government documents at the event! Is there any sort of lost & found?
Yes, we have a lost and found located in the coat check. If you have lost an item during a show, please email info@theanthemdc.com.
Will there be a designated smoking area at this event?
The Anthem has a strict no tolerance policy for smoking inside of the venue.
